Avery Hardoll volume meters

Avery Hardoll is a world-leading manufacturer of volume meters, with products based on precise positive displacement measurement. Since 1932, Avery Hardoll meters have set the industry standard, especially for aviation fuels, fuels, oils, and chemicals. In 2021, Silea Liquid Transfer acquired the Avery Hardoll brand, and manufacturing now continues at Silea’s facility in Italy.

Structure and Operating Principle

Avery Hardoll BM and DM series meters are precision instruments that measure liquid volume directly via mechanical construction. Inside the meter, the product flow rotates a rotor, whose movement is directed through the measuring chamber. This enables accurate volume measurement regardless of flow turbulence, pressure, or temperature variations.

  • BM Series: Available in several sizes (2–6”) and flow ranges.
  • DM Series: Compact, steel body, designed especially for terminals and fuelling stations.

Features and Benefits

  • High Measurement Accuracy: Repeatability up to ±0.02%, accuracy up to ±0.05%.
  • Wide Flow Range: 115–3870 l/min (BM series), up to 2500 l/min continuous (DM series).
  • Applications: Aviation fuel refuelling, oil and chemical terminals, master meters for calibration, process industry.
  • Easy Calibration: Stepless adjustment, no replaceable gears.
  • Durable Construction: Body made of cast iron, steel, or aluminium; rotor of aluminium or cast iron; bearings of stainless steel; seals of HNBR, FKM.
  • Electronic or Mechanical Register: Option for pulse output (e.g., MASTERLOAD II/III, LCR.iQ).
