Blackmer solvents and binders

Blackmer® NP Series Vane Pumps

The Blackmer® NP series vane pumps are versatile, self-priming and dry-running transfer pumps. They are ideal for applications where high tolerance to temperature, pressure or viscosity, as well as special sealing solutions, are required. The NP series pumps are designed to handle a wide range of solvents, waxes, adhesives and binders and offer high performance in all demanding conditions.

Advantages of technology:

  • Internal plain bearings: Self-lubricating bearings allow for maintenance-free operation and a long pump life. A small amount of pumped fluid is directed to lubricate the bearings, which forms a hydrodynamic film and reduces temperature rise.
  • Dry-running duration: Self-adjusting vanes enable short-term dry running, making it easier to drain lines and prime the pump, for example.
  • Versatile seal options: Available e.g. braid seal, lip seal, mechanical seal and triple lip seal.
  • Material options: Cast iron, ductile cast iron and AISI 316 stainless steel.
  • Heating chambers: Available with steam or oil heating.
  • Flow range: 8 to 1985 l/min
  • Operating temperature: Suitable for high temperatures (up to 260°C)
  • Pressure: Suitable for high pressures (up to 20 Bar)
  • Internal relief valve
  • Easy maintenance

Blackmer® MAGNES Magnetically Driven Vane Pumps

The MAGNES series of magnetically driven vane pumps are Blackmer’s latest innovation, combining the advantages of magnetic drive and vane technology. MAGNES pumps are sealless, meaning they do not have dynamic seals, ensuring a completely leak-free design. This makes them ideal for demanding chemical and process applications that handle expensive, hazardous or difficult-to-concentrate liquids.

Advantages of technology

  • Magnetic drive: No dynamic seals – completely leak-proof construction.
  • Self-priming and dry-running resistant: No cumulative dry-running time limit, so the pump can withstand repeated dry-running situations without damage.
  • Wide viscosity range: Suitable for both thin and very thick liquids (including mixtures containing solid particles).
  • Cavitation and vapor mixture handling: MAGNES pumps can withstand up to 20% steam or air mixtures and operate at zero NPSHr.
  • High efficiency: 70-90%
  • Easy maintenance
  • Material options: Ductile iron (MI3, MI4) and stainless steel (MS3, MS4).
  • Virtausalue: 280–1970 l/min (75–520 gpm)
  • Maksimipaine: 13,8 bar (200 psi)

Applications

  • Chemical industry
  • Process industry
  • Transfer of hazardous and valuable chemicals
