Folding stairs

Silea is an Italian manufacturer of loading and unloading arms and fluid transfer equipment. The Silea 3700 series Folding Stairs are designed for safe and efficient passage between the loading dock and the manholes of tankers or train wagons. The treads meet ATEX and CE requirements and are suitable for the demanding industrial conditions.

Applications and product range

• Applications: tank trucks, train wagons, loading and unloading of chemicals and foodstuffs
• Models: 3, 4 and 5 steps, with or without safety cage
• Standard cage dimensions: 1400 x 1400 mm or 2800 x 1400 mm
• Locking position prevents unintentional lowering of steps, opening with pedal
• The steps and frame automatically adjust to the height of the tank

Structure and materials

• Materials: painted or galvanized carbon steel
• Non-slip steps, anti-crushing construction
• The first step is fixed, the next steps descend
• The bottom step is equipped with a rubber-protected protective arch that prevents metal-to-metal contact with the tank
• The handrail descends with the steps
• Spring cylinder reduces the use of steps, with pneumatic relief as an option
