LPG loading stations

Silea’s LPG loading stations are designed for the transfer of hazardous pressurized liquids, such as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), between fixed and mobile tanks. Loading stations enable safe and efficient loading and unloading of tankers and train wagons, for example. Silea’s solutions meet the strictest safety and quality requirements, such as ATEX and PED directives.

Structure and operating principle

The loading station consists of two loading arms of the 1802 series, one for the liquid phase and the other for the vapor phase. Both arms are mounted on a support post, which allows for a wide range of operation and a compact design. The loading stations are delivered to measure for the needs of different plants.

Applications

• Loading and unloading of tanker trucks and train wagons
• Transfer of industrial gases and ammonia in closed systems
• Also suitable for handling aggressive liquids (built entirely of stainless steel and with suitable seals if required)

• Sizes 1 1/2″ – 3″
• Right-handed design, product connection with ANSI 300 flange
• F-20-style basic joint for horizontal movement control
• F-50 style double pivot joints (vertical and horizontal movement)
• Balancing system with spring and gas piston
• ERC emergency release valve (DN50-DN80, PN40, AISI316)
• 1/2″ drain valve and hose
• Connections: lap joint flange, ACME threaded connector or Stanag connector
• Accessories: position indicator, mechanical locks, overflow sensors, pneumatic control, telescopic tubes, protective covers, steam return systems

Materials and approvals

• Materials: carbon steel, stainless steel (AISI 304L/316L), seals are selected according to the product to be moved
• Approvals: MID, ATEX, PED
• Standardit: API, ASTM, ANSI, TTMA
• Testing: pressure test 60 bar (PN40), welding documentation, material certificates (EN 10204 3.1/2.2), quality assurance plan

Safety and Accessories

• ERC emergency release valve prevents liquid or steam leakage in the event of any sudden movement of the vehicle
• All connections can be made according to customer requirements (e.g. flanges, threaded fittings, quick couplings)
• Optional extras include maintenance kits, measurement and automation systems
